I am the new blog writer for K and T Creations LLC. I'm going to keep this as short and as sweet as possible. I am a Junior in college, studying Animal Science/Pre-Vet with the hopes of becoming a mixed animal veterinarian someday (and a farrier too). My family is small, as I have no siblings, just my mama and daddy. My boyfriend and I have been together since our sophomore year of high school (almost 5 years!). I live in Illinois where I'm surrounded by corn, corn and more corn!
I'm owned by a flock of mini t-rexes, or in modern day terms, chickens. There are 15 hens and 4 roosters. All sorts of breeds, and we don't really sell eggs either. Just give 'em away as needed. Oh, and they're the best alarm clocks!
I have been riding horses since I was 5 years old. My parents gifted me my first horse when I was 9. Her name is Cassie. She passed away in 2015 from complications from COPD.
A year later, I was gifted my heart horse. Her name is Lucky Star. She's the sassiest, orneriest horse you could ever imagine! I trained her from the ground up, and broke her when I was 13/14 years old. She's turning 10 in a few weeks, and I just can't believe it!
After Cassie passed away in 2015, I took a year to grieve before I got another horse to keep Lucky company. I adopted Sunshine from a local rescue. It's been almost 2 years now, and I'm SO happy I adopted her! She's soooo sweet, loving, and forgiving! Couldn't have asked for a better partner!
Last but not least, I have two kitties that I call mine. Spark and Opossum. Spark is a tuxedo kitten who thinks he's a super hero. He loves cheese (hence his nick-name: Spark-a-roni), and squeaking at birds. Opossum, the diluted calico, got her name because she was "as ugly as an opossum" when she was born, and the name stuck. She's a barn kitty, and loves sleeping with the horses.
Thank you for readin' my first post! This is my first time being a blog writer, so bare with me as I learn how the ropes work!
